FRIENDSGIVING
We’ve created the perfect recipe… for friendship!THIS YEAR, put down your phones and gather round the table with the people who matter the most! We promise, IT’S NOT TOO LATE! Thanksgiving is a great time to gather your friends around a table. It doesn’t take small animals to sniff out a good meal; all it takes is a simple invite and a good-natured gesture to bring everyone together.
If you can’t make it home this year, The Peanut Institute and Golden Peanut and Tree Nuts are ENCOURAGING you to invite those you care about over to share what matters most – FRIENDSHIP. With our help, you can turn your kitchen into an award-winning combination of food and fun. We’ve even provided you with an easy recipe for a delicious deep fried turkey by James Beard award winner Chef Linton Hopkins, who has made deep frying a turkey as easy as pie.
Did we say pie?
Hop on Pinterest for a great Pecan Pie recipe, a southern classic! We don’t expect you to “shell out” all the food either. Ask each one of your friends or loved ones to bring a side dish that reminds them of home and make a new tradition together.
As always – have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving season… and don’t forget the turkey!

Savory Southern Fried Turkey
If you want the crispiest, juiciest Thanksgiving turkey you’ve ever had without spending all day in the kitchen, James Beard Award Winning Chef Linton Hopkins may have just the recipe for you. He likes to keep the ingredients simple and as local as possible. He points out that peanut oil is also trans fat-free, cholesterol-free, low in saturated fats and high in good unsaturated fats. Peanut oil does not absorb the flavor of other foods cooked in the oil. Therefore, you can cook several different items together and each will maintain their own great taste.
