Methods

In this study, authors induced diabetes in 4 groups of rats (34 rats) in order to promote the formation of cataracts due to diabetes (glucose levels above 350 mg/dl). They then administered resveratrol to 16 of the rats in 2 different doses to see the efect of resveratrol on the formation and progression of cataracts after 9 weeks. Resveratrol is a potent antioxidant in peanuts

Key Findings

Key Findings: Results showed that resveratrol administration significantly delayed the progression of cataracts in a dose-dependent manner in rats who received treatment compared to those who received none.
