Methods

Protocatechuic acid is a bioactive compound found in a variety of foods, including in peanut skins. This study looked at the potential of protocatechuic acid to promote anti-wrinkling effects in cosmetic products.

Key Findings

The results showed that facial wrinkles were significantly reduced when treated with lotion containing 0.02% protocatechuic acid for 8 weeks, pointing to its potential use in cosmetic products.
