In this study, a total of 23,915 participants provided dietary information via a food frequency questionnaire. Authors looked at the relationship between nut consumption (including peanuts) and nonalcoholic fatty acid liver disease (NAFLD)
Key Findings
Higher nut consumption was associated with up to 20% lower prevalence of NAFLD. These results remained significant, even after adjusting for glucose, inflammatory biomarkers, and blood lipids.
