Methods

This study looked at associations between MIND diet adherence and migraine headaches in 266 participants ages 18-50. The MIND diet emphasizes plant-based foods like berries, dark green leafy vegetables, peanuts/peanut butter, and limits the intake of animal and high saturated fat foods.

Key Findings

According to the authors, "We found that participants with higher score of MIND diet compared to those with lower score, were less likely to have severe headaches.” MIND Diet participants also had shorter duration and less frequency of headaches.
