Authors examined the association between nut consumption (including peanuts) and markers of inflammation in the blood (Inflammation is often a sign of or reaction to infection or an onset of disease. It is also important in the study of cardiovascular disease).
Key Findings
Key Findings: Greater total nut consumption was associated with lower markers of inflammation in the blood. Intake of peanuts was associted with decreased inflammatory markers.
