Methods

This review examined the role that dietary components play in gynecological disorders.

Key Findings

Key Findings: The results showed that a variety of plant foods and fish may play a key role in protecting against various gynecological disorders including uterine leiomyoma, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometrial cancer, and breast cancer. Resveratrol, which is an antioxidant found in berries, grapes, and peanuts may have therapeutic effects for endometriosis. Nuts in general may also be protective against hormone-related cancers.
