In this analysis of the current evidence, authors looked at a total of 17 studies that examined the relationship between diet and mortality/cardiovascular disease. Specific foods, like peanuts, were examined as well.

Key Findings: Nuts were associated with a reduced risk of mortality. Peanut consumption reduced mortality risk by 23%. Similar benefits were found for peanut consumption and cardiovascular disease.
