This study examined 8,571 Chinese adults 65 years and older to look at the effects of dietary diversity on psychological resilience.
Key Findings
Low dietary diversity was associated with poor psychological resilience. On the other hand, the greatest contribution of dietary diversity came from high consumption of vegetables, fruits, and nuts. Authors conclude that high dietary diversity could promote psychological resilience.
