Methods
In this study, researchers in China studied 20 boars under heat stress-induced infertility conditions for 6 weeks. They measured the effect of dietary l-arginine supplementation on reproductive performance in boars. Peanuts contain one of the highest levels of arginine in foods
Key Findings
Results showed that boars who consumed arginine from food experienced increased levels of testosterone, improved libido performance, and increased semen quality compared with those who consumed none.
