This review looked at the evidence surrounding diet and chronic kidney disease in observational studies.
Key Findings: Adherence to the DASH dietary pattern and Mediterranean dietary pattern, which both include nuts, were significantly associated with decreased risk of chronic kidney disease. More studies are needed in minority populations to further assess this.
