Methods

There is a high prevalence of malnutrition among kidney patients undergoing hemodialysis. This cross-sectional study done on 471 patients in Nepal looked at the knowledge and practices of patients regarding dietary recommendations for renal disease.

Key Findings

Key Findings: Results showed that patients had limited knowledge about the right diet to consume. Authors recommend that a plant-based diet could be encouraged, as it would reduce comorbidities and complications associated with renal disease, with the added protection in terms of diet cost.
