Methods
This was an intervention study in 15 healthy, normal weight adults. The objective was to examine the effects of peanut consumption on satiety and energy balance.
Key Findings
Key Findings: Resting energy expenditure was increased by 11% after participants consumed peanuts for 19 weeks. Peanuts had a high satiety value and participants had a lower than predicted body weight gain after the study.
