Methods

In this review, investigators looked at a 54-year old obese woman with a heart failure diagnosis. She altered her lifestyle to follow a plant-based diet.

Key Findings

Key Findings: Over 5.5 months, the patient lost 22.7 kg and reversed her diabetes without medication. Her left ventricular function was also restored. Authors conclude that a plant-based diet may help to reverse left ventricular dysfunction in heart disease.
