Methods
This study examined 90 adults 60 years and older in Brazil. The aim was "to assess the relationship of protein consumption and specific protein sources [either animal or plant protein] with physical function."
Key Findings
Key Findings: Fast walking speed was associated with higher intake of plant protein, while slower walking speed was associated with higher intake of animal protein. Authors conclude that "high relative ingestion of vegetable protein is associated with faster walking speed."
