Methods

Peanut leaves are commonly used to relieve insomnia in Asia. The aim of this study was to test the toxicity of peanut leaves in high doses. High doses of peanut leaf extract were given to rats over 28 days and the effects were monitored.

Key Findings: The peanut leaf extract did not induce toxicity. Earlier studies showed that it has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
