Implementation of Early Peanut Introduction Guidelines: It Takes a Village

This study was a review of the implementation of current guidelines that recommend introducing peanuts to infants to prevent peanut allergies.

Key Findings: The review showed that implementation of these guidelines continues to be challenging on both a national and international level. There is also confusion about when to conduct allergy testing, if it should be before or after peanut introduction. More work needs to be done in the area of implementation; however, the data shows that adhering to the guidelines could signifcantly reduce peanut allergies.
