This study was a review of the evidence surrounding nut consumption and cognitive function. Investigators examined 19 studies. This study was written in Spanish.

Key Findings

Authors note that in most of the experimental studies, there was a protective effect of nut consumption on cognitive function, regardless of nut type. More longitudinal studies are needed in this area; however, the study concludes that daily consumption of nuts could have positive effects on cognition in adults.
