In this study, authors reviewed 7,480 studies that highlighted the association between nut consumption (including peanuts) and risk of metbolic syndrome. A total of 68 studies were used after exclusion criteria were applied.

Key Findings

Key Findings: Results showed that regular nut consumption reduced the risk of metabolic syndrome. Nut consumption was also associated with a significant reduction in body weight, body mass index, and waist circumference.
