This article was a systematic review that presented a summary of some of the major health benefits found in specific nuts, as evidenced by scientific literature.
Key Findings: Despite their high energy content, peanut consumption has not been associated with increased body weight. In fact, even at portion sizes between 42.5 to 63 grams per day, there were no changes in body composition. Participants who consume peanuts have been shown to lose more weight than those who do not. In addition, consumption increases satiety, which helps to reduce the desire to eat.
