Methods

The aim of this study was to examine the effects of peanut consumption in different forms on fecal energy excretion. The study utilized 63 healthy men and women in Brazil, Ghana, and the US who were given 70g of either whole peanuts, peanut butter, or peanut oil in the treatment period.

Key Findings

Key Findings: Results showed that during the treatment period, consumption of whole peanuts was associated with increased fecal excretion of energy. This may contribute to the positive weight management effects seen with peanut consumption.
