Authors of this study treated human colorectal cancer cells with ferulic and p-coumaric acids, powerful antioxidants that are contained in peanuts. They wanted to examine the effects that this would have on the cancer cells.
Results showed that both compounds were effective at killing colorectal cancer cells. Authors concluded that these compounds are important for targeting diseases like colorectal cancer.
