Authors of this study treated human colorectal cancer cells with ferulic and p-coumaric acids, powerful antioxidants that are contained in peanuts. They wanted to examine the effects that this would have on the cancer cells.
Key Findings: Results showed that both compounds were effective at killing colorectal cancer cells. Authors concluded that these compounds are important for targeting diseases like colorectal cancer.
