This review looked at the therapeutic potential of resveratrol, which is an antioxidant found in peanuts, grapes, and other plant foods.
Key Findings: The review showed that resveratrol has favorable effects for protecting the liver and heart, as well as protecting against cancer and diabetes. It does this through involvement in an important biological pathway in the body called the Wnt pathway. Impairment of the Wnt pathway is associated with various diseases, like cancer.
