Methods

This study was a review of randomized controlled trials that assessed glycemic control with nut consumption. Authors examined a total of 40 studies with 2,832 participants and looked at both peanuts and tree nuts.

Key Findings

Key Findings: Consumption of peanuts or tree nuts significantly decreased insulin resistance and fasting insulin. Authors suggest that future studies look at the mechanisms behind this finding as well as other measures.
