Methods

The Growing Up Today Study (GUTS) from Harvard University studied 9,039 females aged 9-15 years. They examined the association between diet and benign breast disease. Benign breast disease increases a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer.

Key Findings

Girls aged 9-15 years who consumed peanut butter and nuts regularly had a significantly reduced risk of developing benign breast disease.
