Methods

This study examined 488 girls aged 12-18 in Iran and looked at the relationship between DASH-style diet adherence and the prevalence of insomnia. The DASH diet emphasizes nuts, fruits, vegetables, fish, and low fat dairy.

Key Findings

Key Findings: High adherence to a DASH-style diet was associated with a 49% reduced risk of insomnia when compared to low adherence. More studies are needed to verify these results.
